Human fungal pathogens account for an estimated
1 billion infections and over 1.6 million deaths annually!
Staggered by these numbers?
Come join our fungal immunology group!
We study the pathobiology of eukaryotic pathogens using molecular tools that enable tracking of mammalian hosts-pathogen encounters
at a single cell resolution, combining cutting-edge technologies in immunology, microbiology and cell biology to address fundamental and
translational questions related to fungal pathogenesis and host defenses.
Exciting projects focusing on host-induced cell death as a defense mechanism, fungal regulated cell death
and novel approaches to anti-fungal therapy are waiting for you!
