Subject: When entrepreneurship meets academia

Yulia and Maria will introduce Facultech to the Environmental Economics and Management department. FaculTech is an innovation club aimed at facilitating innovation and entrepreneurship skills among undergraduate and graduate students at the RH Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, focusing on Agritech, Foodtech and Cleantech.

Facultech organizes workshops and meetings, focusing on entrepreneurship, innovation networking, marketing and navigation in the business world. Our vision is to leverage the university's innovation potential to solve substantial problems through entrepreneurship. The innovation potential we see includes the research, know-how and people in our ecosystem.

That leads us to 3 missions:

1.Promote the university as a supportive environment for entrepreneurship.

2. Create an entrepreneurial culture and grow the university ecosystem and collaborations in this field. Create Scalable Ventures to Solve Substantial Problems - We aim to support the university community in translating their knowledge, ideas, and research to viable ventures that solve real-world problems. .

3.Ignite and improve Entrepreneurial Mindset and Skills .

We will talk about how we do it and give an example of ventures that grew from our faculty.
